What Is How Rare Am I?
A free tool that uses real global research data to calculate exactly how statistically rare your combination of traits, genetics, personality, and life experiences is among all 8 billion people on Earth.
How It Works
Each question in our quizzes corresponds to a real-world statistic — the global prevalence of that trait among the human population. For example, only about 9% of people have blue eyes globally, and only about 10% of people are left-handed.
When you answer a question, we look up the statistical probability of your specific answer. At the end of a quiz, we multiply all your individual probabilities together to calculate your combined rarity score — the likelihood that a randomly selected person on Earth shares your exact combination of traits.
For a deeper explanation of the math, see our Methodology page.
The Five Categories
- Physical Traits — eye color, hair color, blood type, height, handedness, and more
- Biology & Genetics — tongue rolling, cilantro perception, widow's peak, dimples, and other genetic traits
- Personality — MBTI type, introversion/extroversion, chronotype, sensitivity, and habits
- Life Experiences — languages spoken, countries visited, whether you've been on TV, broken bones, and more
- Career & Education — education level, income, work situation, and professional background
